Iceberg Brainstorming Session

Thanks to everyone who participated in the brainstorming session on a Kangaroo. I loved hearing your ideas! They sparked my imagination and many other story-makers’ imaginations too.

This time I’d like to invite you to post your ideas on a setting card I randomly pick from the deck…

It’s an ICEBERG!

Please share sensory detail, ideas for places and attractions, and anything else you can think of that might ignite some story possibilities!

  1. MMMMm- first thought- an iceburg in an impossible place- like The Sahara. How could it be there?, how doesnt it melt?, or how do you stop it melting?. Melting would drown teh Sphinx or soemthing- so an enviromental issue could be here……….
Or am I being carried away?

  2. I love it! An Iceberg in the Sahara – two totally different worlds collide…

For the first time in the history of camels a camel learns to ski.

I wonder what kind of desert mirage a penguin would see.

A penguin and camel becoming friends – it could happen – anything can happen in a story!

Theories on why the ice doesn’t melt…
    1. It’s just a mirage.
    2. It has a special freezing mechanism at the tip so the penguins can use it like a boat to explore the previously unknown world of the desert.
    3. It’s not really ice – it’s a UFO made to look like an iceberg to disguise its real identity (though rather conspicuous in the middle of the desert).

Keep the ideas coming… you never know how one idea sparks another!

  3. Icebergs…how about a colony of ants living in an Iceberg. Instead of the warm weather fare weather friends, how about the winter ice carving friends and there struggles to keep warm and smiling beneath the huge block of ice and its intricate tunnels, caveren and sculptures.

  4. Many thought that the approaching formation was nothing more than your typical iceberg. However; this particular one was non-other than the notorious band of rouge penguins captained by “Black Ricco the Scared”. He was noted for his frequent raids up and down the coast to acquire their favorite loot – “gummy worms”!
